I suppose...
Journal Entry: Sat Jun 7, 2008, 11:49 AM
Today is a good day.
I'm finally all snuggled back into my proper niche, that is: I finally got my room back, and therefore have waaaaay more creative space than that lame futon in a corner allowed.
Sooooo, as you probably have (or haven't) noticed, I've updated...go me. I'm busy as hell lately, so I had a little 3-month-some hiatus where I didn't even log onto devArt.
Life's looking up in some places, and down in others.
My mind's been pretty tangled up in things lately,like...more tangled than the digestive system of a fetal pig (and I would know...I spent yesterday afternoon trying to untangle the intestines of a 97-day old fetal pig...he was pretty cute. We had the only black piglet in the class). And, like pig intestines, these things may take a while to get sorted out, however, no matter how scattered and enjoyable and horrible things may get this summer, I'm going to try and come up with some one deviation per week quota I can foresee myself fulfilling.
I'm also going to attempt to stop over-thinking, something which I'm pretty sure is causing the re-emergence of my chronic headaches.
Think happy thoughts, not everything rots.
But yeah, for people who live nearby, I'll be picking up summer commission projects for people who are interested (omg....you can make MONEY off art?....no wai.)
I also have an assload of writing to go up here. ( I know...promises, promises). I just wish there was some way to avoid putting it up in my gallery because I find it massively overshadows the art stuff, especially in the 'recent deviations' section. Does anyone know how to avoid things showing up there? Like...I'd just like a little 'Mel's Writing Hole' place to dump random sheisse.
Speaking of German, I had my first 2 sets of German customers in the last week, and I was thoroughly delighted to help them find the cast iron wok they were looking for...
yup. Nothing in life could possibly be more fulfilling than selling potato peelers and other kitchen appliances to the needing public.
War and Peace

Now that I've found your devArt...you don't have a livejournal too by any chance, do you?

I'm good in bed, but I'm better with a pen.

Sometimes its nice to be serious, but you miss all the fun in life if you're serious all the time! So on that note... long live randomness!!!
